2. Data Collection on This Website
When you visit our website, certain data is automatically collected by our servers. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, and the time of the server request. This data is technically necessary and processed based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. For details, see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
4. Contact Form
When you use our contact form, we collect the data you provide (name, email, message). This data is processed based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR to respond to your inquiry.
5. AcousticCheck4Education Application
When you apply for AcousticCheck4Education, we collect the data you enter in the application form: your role (teaching or learning), the type and name of your institution, your name, your e-mail address, the number of licences requested and any message you add. Together with the application we store the language and the page it was sent from and the country of the request. If you send us proof of eligibility by e-mail (for example a student ID or a confirmation from your institution), we process that document as well.
We use this data only to check your eligibility, to provide the free licence and to contact you about your application. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data is stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare in the European Union. We keep it for as long as we need it to process your application and manage the licence, and delete it afterwards unless statutory retention periods require longer storage.
Learners under 16 cannot apply themselves. Their teacher applies for the whole class and states only the number of licences needed.
6. Cookies and Consent
Optional services run on this website only after you have agreed to them. On your first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or reject the categories “Analytisch” and “Marketing”. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage and is not transmitted to us. You can change or withdraw it at any time via “Cookie-instellingen” in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Independently of this, the website stores your language choice in a cookie (“lang”) and your light or dark display preference in local storage. Both are necessary to show the website the way you set it and contain no personal data.
7. Leadinfo
If you consent to the “Marketing” category, we use the lead generation service of Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It recognises visits of companies to our website based on IP addresses and shows us related publicly available information, such as company names or addresses. In addition, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies to evaluate how visitors use our website, and processes domains from form inputs (for example “leadinfo.com”) to match IP addresses to companies and to improve its services.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without it, Leadinfo is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie-instellingen” in the footer. Further information is available at www.leadinfo.com. At www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out you can also opt out of recognition by Leadinfo altogether; your data will then no longer be used by Leadinfo.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, and data portability regarding your personal data. You may also object to processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
